Our Project  Outcome: Horizon community outreach center is designed to assist low income women with children in order to advance their life-style by using educational and training programs to switch for a better career and in the meantime have more time to raise their kids properly. Programs such as Horizon’s center help families not to work too many hours and pay attention to their family while especially boosting their children’s school achievement and future economic success. Based on Raj Chetty (economist of Harvard University) and Johan N. Friedman’s (economist of Colombia University) studies, an additional income of women lead their children’s high test scores; moms spend more time and study with their kids, and as a result kids’ have increased accomplishment at their schools. When we see our low income moms have healthy lifestyle because we have left a portion of their financial struggle that is our accomplishment. Also we have been able to manage better fundraising to bring more money for our organization to assist more low income women.
